Abstract

Stress affects most people in some way .Acute (sudden, short-term)stress leads to rapid changes throughout the body .Almost all body systems (the heart, the blood vessels, the immune system, the lungs, the digestive organs, the sensory organs, and brain )gear up to meet perceived danger. These stresses could prove beneficial in a critical ,life or death situation .Overtimes ,however, repeated stressful situations put up a strain on the body that may contribute to physical and psychological problems .Chronic (long –term )stress can have real health consequences and should be addressed like any other health concern . Fortunately, research is showing that lifestyle changes and stress –reduction can help people learn to manage their stress. But modern life is full of hassles ,dead lines and demand .For many people , stress is so common place that it has become a way of life .In small doses ,stress can motivate you and help you to perform under pressure .But when you’re contantly running in emergency mode ,your mind and body pay the price. you can protect your self by recognizing the signs and symptoms of stress and taking steps to reduce its harmful effects. Stress is your body’s way of responding to any kind of demand .It can be caused by both good and bad experiences .When people feel stressed by something going on around them, their bodies react by releasing chemicals into the blood .These chemicals give people more energy and strength, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger .But this can also be bad thing ,if there stress is in response to some thing emotional and there is no outlet of this extra energy and strength . THE QUESTION- TO LIVE A STRESS FREE LIFE”IS IT POSSIBLE OR NOT-SPECIALLY IN WORK PLACE-FOR EMPLOYEES Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in same way .When you sense danger –whether its real or imagined- the body’s defenses kick into hear gear in a rapid ,automatic process known as “fight-or-fight “reaction or the stress response . The stress response is the body’s way of protecting you .when working properly ,it helps you stay focused energetic and alert .In emergency situations ,stress can stay your lifes – example, or spurring you to slam on the brakes to avoid and accident . The stress response also helps you rise to meet challenges .stress is what keeps you on your toes during a presentation at work, sharpens your concentration when you are attempting the game winning free throw, or drives you to study for an exams specially like an interview in a good company rather than doing anything else. But beyond a certain point ,stress stops being helpful and starts causing major damages to your health ,your mood ,your productivity, your relationships, and your quality of life.
