A STUDY ON IMPACT OF DRUGS ADDICTION IN THE VILLAGE OF DHULIRGURI

Drug addiction is a problem created globally. Use of intoxicant to manage feelings and continued in spite of negative effect is drug addiction. It is a problem to the Society that has been continuing since the ancient days. We find the use of liquid intoxicant in the darbars of the ancient emperors and other king’s. Use of such intoxicant in the darbars of Kauravas and Pandavas, use of Somras by the deties and even use of Ganja by Lord Sankar are mentioned in the ancient Scriptures. Therefore such type of intoxicants is used in our societies traditionally. Now-a-days people use the modern intoxicants like cigarettes, tobacco, gutkha, liquid drink or wine those are available in the open markets or shops.
